Join an AI training project focused on technical drawings, 3D modeling, and programmatic CAD. 💼 Position Details 🏢 Company: micro1 📌 Role: Hardware Expert 💼 Type: Contractor 🌍 Location: Global – Fully Remote 👥 Openings: 10 💰 Pay: $50–$100/hour ⏰ Hours: ~15 hours/week 📅 Schedule: Flexible 🔧 What You'll Work On 📐 Interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics 🧊 Convert 2D designs into accurate 3D solid models ⚙️ Model curves, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean features 🐍 Use Python to create and automate CAD geometry 📁 Export valid STEP files and other CAD formats 🔍 Validate dimensions, topology, volume, and geometry 🛠️ Troubleshoot differences between expected and generated models ⭐ Requirements ✔️ Strong Python skills ✔️ Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry ✔️ Ability to read engineering drawings ✔️ Strong 3D spatial reasoning and attention to detail ✔️ Experience validating and troubleshooting CAD models 🛠️ Helpful tools include FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape, CadQuery, build123d, OpenCascade, and trimesh. 🎓 Formal education or specific years of experience are not required.
