You will use your technical expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through real-world materials, welding, coating, heat-treatment, and additive manufacturing evaluations. Your domain expertise matters more than AI experience. 🔑 Key Skills 🔬 Metallographic Microstructure Evaluation 🔥 Heat Treatment Acceptance – AMS 2750 & ASTM E112 🔧 Weld Macro Etch & CWI Acceptance 🎨 Coating Inspection – NACE/AMPP & SSPC 🖨️ Additive Manufacturing – LPBF Defect Evaluation 📋 ASTM, AMS, AWS & NADCAP Standards ⚙️ Metallurgical Analysis & Material Acceptance 📌 Responsibilities ✅ Evaluate metallographic microstructures for material acceptability and standards compliance ✅ Analyze heat treatment processes according to AMS 2750, ASTM E112 and related specifications ✅ Assess weld quality through macro etch evaluation and CWI acceptance criteria ✅ Perform coating inspections using NACE/AMPP and SSPC protocols ✅ Review and disposition LPBF additive manufacturing defects ✅ Make clear accept/reject decisions supported by technical evidence ✅ Provide detailed written and verbal feedback for AI model training ✅ Apply NADCAP, AWS, ASTM and AMS standards to metals, welds, coatings and AM builds 🎓 Preferred Qualifications 🔹 8+ years of hands-on experience making high-stakes accept/reject decisions 🔹 Advanced knowledge of ASTM, AMS, AWS, NADCAP, NACE/AMPP and SSPC standards 🔹 Current or previous AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential or equivalent metallurgical certification 🔹 Strong experience in metallographic analysis and heat treatment evaluation 🔹 Experience in weld inspection and industrial coating assessment 🔹 Knowledge of additive manufacturing, especially Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) 🔹 Strong written and verbal communication skills 🔹 Ability to explain technical reasoning clearly 🔹 Experience with remote/digital collaboration and independent project work 💵 Compensation $80–$130 per hour 📌 20 Remote Openings Apply Now
