About the Opportunity

Micro1 is hiring experienced Frontend / UI Engineers for a remote project involving the creation and evaluation of challenging coding tasks.

Selected professionals will transform visual materials such as screenshots, UI mockups, diagrams, and screen recordings into structured coding challenges with clear requirements and objective success criteria.

This opportunity is ideal for frontend engineers and product/UI designers who have hands-on coding experience and a strong public GitHub portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Design multi-step coding tasks based on screenshots, UI mockups, diagrams, and screen recordings.
  • Define the required code, project artifacts, and expected application behavior.
  • Create objective success criteria to verify whether coding tasks have been completed correctly.
  • Develop working reference implementations for coding challenges.
  • Review tasks created by other contributors for technical accuracy and verifiability.
  • Identify unclear or ambiguous tasks that cannot be properly evaluated.
  • Explain technical requirements and verification steps clearly.

Required Qualifications

  • A public GitHub profile with substantial and verifiable contributions. This is essential.
  • Strong frontend development experience with React, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building and shipping complex interfaces and interactive applications.
  • Ability to read, modify, debug, and validate real application code.
  • Strong understanding of frontend development and UI implementation.
  • Good written English communication skills.
  • Ability to explain expected application behavior and reproducible testing steps.

Preferred Experience

  • UI design and product design.
  • Graphics programming and SVG development.
  • Canvas-based interfaces and visual applications.
  • Open-source contributions and GitHub repositories.
  • Data labeling, AI evaluation, or rubric-based review experience.

Salary and Payment Details

  • Open Positions: 50
  • Hourly Pay: $70–$100 per hour (headline range).
  • Task-Based Pay: Approximately $640–$800 per approved task.
  • Estimated Time: Approximately 8 hours per task.
  • Payment Model: Paid per approved task.
  • Work Arrangement: Fully Remote.
